Aaliyah was born and raised in Decatur, AL. She attended Alabama State University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and received her Bachelor of Science in Biology. She then attended The University of Alabama Birmingham where she received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
Since she was a teenager, she always knew she wanted to choose a career in which she could help others. She decided to become a Physical Therapist to not only help patients improve physically but also help improve their overall quality of life. She states, “It is always great seeing a patient improve physically, but it is most rewarding knowing you played a role in improving a patient’s outlook on life”.
Outside of work, Aaliyah enjoys watching sports, spending time with family, and attending church.
